Picking the right NovaStar receiving card? It all comes down to how much screen it can drive – its loading capacity. Get this wrong, and your LED display might not look its best. This guide breaks down the recommended loading capacities of NovaStar Technology’s most-used models, giving you the real-world numbers for different screen types.

Notes:

W = Width (number of modules wide), H = Height (number of modules high).

Max Loading is based on a typical receiving card capacity (DH436: 512×384, DH3208: 512×512).

Typical Layout means standard installation width × height.

Alternative Layout refers to common cabinet arrangements in double-width or larger screen builds.

NovaStar DH series, such as DH426, DH7516, DH7516N, DH7512, DH7508, DH418, are super flexible. They have HUB75E ports built-in and work with almost any HUB75E or HUB75C module. Compatibility headaches? Mostly gone with these.

Want higher brightness, refresh rate, or grayscale? You usually can. Just drive fewer modules across the width than the max shown here. Less load often means better performance.

1. NovaStar DH436 (HUB320)

NovaStar DH436 is a compact receiving card tailored for fine-pitch LED displays.

It supports up to 512×384 pixels per card and works well with P0.8 to P1.8 modules. Designed for space-sensitive installations, its body is just 17.1mm thick.

It features real-time dark/bright line adjustment to eliminate module misalignment during setup, plus a dual-program backup system to prevent unexpected failures during firmware updates.

DH436 is widely used in high-end indoor screens, such as meeting room displays and stage backdrops.
